Artist’s Statement
Inspired by the poppy, my body of work captures that stage in life where we start to ‘bloom’.
It represents how I feel as I venture out into the world, anticipating the beauty and wonder in the possibilities ahead, whilst knowing that I will continue to grow and learn despite imperfections or challenges.
The intuitive ceramic forms create a palpable atmosphere, which resonates with the idea that ebbs and flows are part of the human experience.
