Artist’s Statement
The works explore physical strength and strength of will through representations of the body.
A series of photographs contemplate physical fitness in a well-formed body.
The collaged paintings express ideas of malleability. Women feel pressured to be shaped to fit.
The inner self is addressed through layering the physical within the abstracted biomorphic form within the video.
