“Aesthetically Pleasing Furniture”
I wanted to expand upon current furniture ranges by developing my own personal design style. In this piece of furniture, I aimed to create drama and interest with a new perspective to catch people’s attention. I have designed the work to be iconic in theme and to be recognised immediately as my style. The focus of my project is on being an aesthetically pleasing product, creating deep feelings and connections with the user. It echoes the grandeur of Art Deco and is inspired by this period’s shapes and patterns. I wanted to make a piece of worthwhile furniture for someone to love to own. That will stand the test of time and also to be multipurpose for modern families and households.
