Artist’s Statement

Throughout my participation in the course of Design and Technology, I have focused mainly on drawing and woodworking. For this reason, I wanted to incorporate these passions into my Major Design Project. The artwork on my cabinet makes it a point of difference from cabinets that are usually for sale. My aim has been to uplift the aesthetics of our interior household spaces by designing motifs involving fauna and flora. The cabinet is designed to not only spruce up an interior but also to hold personal belongings. The drawers are a catch-all for the entire day’s miscellany; glasses, books, phones, chargers and everything in-between.
