“Snowbound”
Form: Painting

Artist’s Statement
“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever.”
Karl Lagerfeld
We take photographs to record certain moments in our life; a keepsake of a feeling, a second in time.
These paintings were inspired by photographs I took to remember a meaningful trip to the snow. Taking photographs allows me to not only document the beauty in the world around us but time to pause and appreciate something I may never experience again.
The paintings allow me to revisit my past and to share my journey with others.
