“Outdoor Beverage Unit“

Artist’s Statement

I plan to design and construct an outdoor beverage cabinet for our outdoor entertaining area, intended for use primarily during the summer or when guests visit. This cabinet will store both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and with the addition of ice, it will keep drinks cold—perfect for hot summer days when people are swimming or enjoying a barbeque. The cabinet will be convenient and versatile, with the ability to be easily moved to wherever it’s needed. 

My motivation for this project stems from the frequent need to ask others to bring me a cold drink while I’m relaxing or swimming. This cabinet will not only benefit me but also enhance the experience for my family and friends. I am excited to create a DIY project that will become a permanent and functional feature of our outdoor space, making it easier for my parents to host guests. 

I am determined to build a highly functional outdoor beverage cabinet, and in the process, I look forward to developing new skills and taking pride in a project that will serve our family and friends for years to come.
