Artist’s Statement

The Automotive Upgrade System includes android auto, a reversing camera, navigation and media support. These features are standard to newer cars models. However, in older cars, they are lacking. The use of parallel and perpendicular lines extruded at alternative angles gives a sense of geometric design, adding to the aesthetics and general appeal of the project. The product is able to be fitted to a wide variety of car interiors due to the adaptable nature of the modular stand system. The use of a Raspberry Pi4 with the ‘Openauto’ operating system provides a wide range of functionality and adaptability through its customisable and user-configurable design.
