“Surf Inspired Jewellery”

Artist’s Statement

Inspired by the beach and surf culture, I wanted to incorporate the elements I saw into jewellery where men and women can wear the range without feeling too feminine and precious. The pieces can be worn anywhere by anyone. The natural landscape of the sea and surf and the rugged coastline features were the catalysts for the designs. The techniques of using Patina and kiln-fired enamel were just like the surf. The outcome was not easy to control and unpredictable, but the finish was organic and fluid.
