“Last Sip”

Artist’s Statement

Empty porcelain vessels, some with lips, are gathered amongst ear-like pools and rocks. Sensing, tasting, touching and hearing the silence of the subsided precious water that surrounds the coral reefs is evoked. The fragility of these porcelain receptacles holding onto last sips are comparable with the fragility of the Great Barrier Reef.
